However, it has never really meant party time to me, homebody that I am... these days things are going pretty much the same, give or take a destination or two...
Today we jetted off to see Gramma, and partake of her generous offer to babysit the munchkin-butt (okay, it wasn't an offer so much as a "would you mind looking after him while we go see a movie, and then we'll paint your porch? pretty please?"). He was quite the angel, apparently, winning over all who gazed upon his splendidness..and really, who wouldn't be in awe after basking in the glory of ----
And so it was, that mom and dad got to see the Amazing Spiderman, booyah!! I have to say that I did enjoy myself, much more than the other versions. Maybe I just like the actors more in this one but good times were had! Hours passed and we returned to reclaim the boy, hehe...
Being at Gramma's is like a mini-vacation from home, especially at this time of year. Whereas our place is westward facing, embracing the heat of the day for most of the day (which makes for a fun and stifling evening), Gramma's is cool and shaded and just, ahhhh-so niiiice...
Luckily the weather seems to be turning (momentarily) and a cooler night is to be had here...or so say the mosquitos... hillo mosquitos... you were not missed... and I'm not too sorry to say that..
